Are Leef Doors steel or aluminium?

Leef Doors are crafted from Green Core Aluminium — a superior material known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and full recyclability. Aluminium allows for clean, precise, and consistent framing. Every door is CNC-cut for accuracy and carefully hand-silicone to ensure a high-quality, durable finish.

Do you offer fixed panels?

Leef does not manufacture fixed panels as part of the Leef system. However, for Victorian-based projects, we can accommodate fixed panel solutions through our partner company, AAA Windows.

How much do your doors weigh?

Door weights vary depending on the style and configuration selected, but most Leef Doors weigh approximately 50kg.

Are your doors pre-glazed?

Yes. All Leef Doors are supplied fully glazed, with Designer Door ware hardware pre-fitted to the door frame for a seamless installation.

Can you provide framing?

Yes, external framing can be supplied through our partner company, AAA Windows for Victoria only.

  • Hinged doors are designed to be installed on a standard timber jamb.
  • Sliding doors can be fitted into any standard cavity unit (which we can also supply).
  • Pivot doors are designed to be installed into solid blocking.

Services

Do you offer installation?

Leef Doors are supply-only, and we do not offer installation. Our doors are intentionally designed for ease of install, with all hardware pre-fitted into the frame. This means installers never need to drill into aluminium, reducing risk and ensuring a clean, precise installation.

Do you provide site measuring?

We do not offer site measuring. However, we work closely with your builder to ensure all details are accurate and provide final shop drawings for approval prior to manufacture.

How do I place an order?

To begin, email us at info@leefdoors.com.au. Once we receive your rough dimensions, design selection, and glass type, we can prepare a detailed quote and guide you through the next steps.

Do you manufacture windows?

Windows are not manufactured within the Leef system. However, we can supply windows through our partner company, AAA Windows, ensuring a cohesive and seamless overall finish across your project.

Do you offer design consultations?

Yes, we offer design consultations over the phone or in our showroom at 17 Technology Circuit, Hallam. Otherwise, we will accommodate a phone call or zoom call at your convenience.

Delivery

What’s your lead time?

For Victorian orders, our lead time is approximately 4-5 weeks. For interstate this can extend up to 5-6 weeks. This is lead time from final sign off on measurements and design.

Is pick up available?

Pick up is available, free of charge from our factory at 17 Technology Circuit Hallam, 3803.

Do you deliver to site?

Yes. For Victoria-based projects, all Leef Doors are delivered directly to site using our dedicated glass trucks.

For interstate orders, we work with trusted, specialist delivery partners who can deliver either to your residential address or to a nominated depot location.

Do you deliver interstate?

Yes, we have partnered with trusted freight companies to deliver doors across Australia.

How are your doors packaged and delivered?

Our doors are individually hand packaged with all considerations in mind. We use foam and rigid cardboard to ensure they are tight packed and protected. Our doors are then stacked and handed to our trusted courier to deliver to your required address. The weight of the doors allows for them to be hand unloaded onsite by the receiver.

Door Types

What door types do you offer?

We offer hinged, sliding, and pivot doors.

  • Hinged doors are suitable for both internal and external use.
    • For internal installations, doors can be hung on a timber jamb.
    • For external installations, doors can be fitted into an aluminium frame and can comply up to BAL 29.
  • Sliding doors can be retrofitted to an existing cavity unit or track system.
  • Pivot doors come with the pivot mechanism pre-fitted into the frame and are ready to be installed into solid blocking.

Can you double glaze doors?

Yes, we can double glaze hinged doors.
At this stage, pivot and sliding doors cannot be double glazed.

Can you provide tracks or cavity units for sliding doors?

Yes. We can supply either:

  • A 120 Brio QuickRun track, or
  • A Leef-specified cavity unit by BC Doors.

What hardware and mechanisms come with the doors?

  • Hinged doors:
    • We can supply a panic bolt to secure the non-active panel.
      If a pull handle is preferred without a lockbox, we can install magnetic catches in the timber jamb head and floor to hold the panels in place.
  • Sliding doors:
    • All supplied tracks include a soft-close mechanism to prevent slamming.
  • Pivot doors:
    • Our pivot systems are sourced from Belgium and include soft-close and hold-open mechanisms as standard.

Can the doors be custom sized or finished?

Yes, all of our doors can be custom made to suit your opening size and are available in a range of finishes and configurations to match your project requirements.

Hinged doors:

Sliding doors:

Can I choose any powder coat colour?

Our standard powder coat finishes are Lexicon QTR and Black Ink.
We can also offer custom powder coat colours upon request, subject to an additional setup fee.

What hardware comes with the doors?

We have partnered with Designer Door ware to curate a premium selection of hardware that reflects the highest standards of design and quality.

Customers can choose from a range of hardware options available in standard finishes, ensuring a cohesive and considered look for every door.

What glass types do you offer?

We offer a range of glass types from our partner Viridian Glass. These include:

  • Clear Glass
  • Reeded Glass
  • Cathedral
  • Spotswood
  • Roughcast
  • Low E glass (For double glazed hinged doors)

Can you do a curved head on the doors?

We cannot do a curved head on our doors. However we can do a laser cut curve inside the panel itself.
